I cherish the time I spend with my son each day. From that puckered whimper that bursts into a scream to that cute innocent smile, it is grand being a dad. I like to appreciate each moment and realize the awesome opportunity I have to add into my child's life.

What I learned most about being a dad from my own is dads are always there through thick and thin, they encourage and support, and they push you past the limits of what you thought you could ever do.

Now that I have become a dad myself, I have seen a whole new dimension to just what "dad" means. Maybe it is not comprehendible until you become one yourself - truly unconditional love. You love your child for who they are, no strings attached. You love them for the special blessing that they are in your life.

It's hard to sum up all of what "dad" means in just a few words. I look forward to having a lifetime ahead to show my kids that love and just how much it means to me to be a dad to them.
